(1) There shall be a Scholarship Selection Committee consisting of the following members for the selection of scholarships through open competition:-

(a) Joint Secretary (Division of Higher Education and Educational Management) Education Ministry – Chairman

(b) Three experts nominated by Ministry of Education – Member

(c) Deputy Secretary, (Scholarship Branch), Ministry of Education – Member – Secretary

(2) To be a member as per clause (b) of sub-rule (1), one must have at least fifteen years of experience in the field of teaching or research in a university or a body under it.

(3) Sub-rule ( 1) The term of office of the nominated member will be two years.

(4) If the scholarship selection committee deems it necessary, it may invite an expert in the relevant field to participate in the meeting of the committee.

(5) Scholarship selection The procedure for the meeting of the committee will be as determined by the committee itself.
